Is it worth fighting your ticket?

The answer is almost universally yes. If you have any moving violation, at minimum it is best to not plead guilty. In the majority of courts in New York, there is a plea bargaining process, with the exception of New York City, which does not allow a plea bargaining.

How much in attorneys fees should you expect to pay to fight a ticket?

Many people fear that a lawyer is too expensive for a traffic ticket. Our pricing is reasonable, and in a vast majority of cases you can expect to pay no more than $100 per point you are facing. For example, if you received a two point ticket, the most our legal fee would be is typically $200. People who comes to us with a single moving violation ticket will usually pay us a legal fee in the range of $150 to $300.  But there are many factors that determine our legal fee such as the location of the court; how many tickets you received; the likelihood that the matter needs to go to trial; whether the court offers virtual or in person appearances; and how many other cases we currently have pending in that court. Pricing can get a bit more complicated the more tickets that you receive, and the more serious the charge. For example, the legal fee will be cheaper for a motorist who is charged with speeding 70 mph in a 55mph zone versus a motorist who is charged with speeding at 105 mph in that same 55mph zone.  All that being said, we do offer a free price quote and you can submit a form on our website.
